The Group is exploring an opportunity for local households to save money through matching electricity electricity consumption, half hour by half hour, to power generated locally from small local generators such as the solar array at Wighton Village Hall and the solar array and anaerobic digester at Copys Green Farm, Wighton.
The model has been proven in other communities https://energylocal.org.uk/clubs and activists in Wighton invite others to attend meetings to learn how they may benefit from such a club in our locality.
The following link provides an overview of the benefits a local energy club to both users and generators of local renewable electricity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qVVfwZiHzY
