Walsingham Fuel Saver

Save money! Save time! Join Walsingham Fuel Saver

Walsingham Parish Council has set up a bulk-buying scheme for oil (gas and coal are also available) on behalf of residents. The scheme is open to anyone over 16 living in Walsingham with the postcode ‘NR22 6..’.

To take advantage of the scheme you will need to

The bulk-buying scheme is an initiative set up by the charity Norfolk Rural Community Council in partnership with Anglian Farmers (AF Affinity – one of the largest agricultural purchasing groups) to try and provide rural communities with cheaper fuel. While the partnership is unable to guarantee to offer the lowest price, in the previous years the average saving for AF-affinity scheme members was 8% compared to an average UK price.

The bulk-buying saving comes from a combination of the overall purchasing power of AF-affinity and co-ordinating orders within the local group to the 1st of a month. The extent of a local group is fixed by the postcode – in this case ‘NR22 6’. Anyone who has these digits as the first part of their postcode is eligible to become a member of this new local group ‘Walsingham Fuel Saver’ which Walsingham Parish Council has agreed to set up.
