Building Facade - Common Place

We have two screenings in September: the winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, ‘The Other Side of Hope’, and a special screening with the Wells Walsingham Light Railway of ‘Britain on Film, Railways’.

On Tuesday 19th September THE OTHER SIDE OF HOPE (12A) A wry, humorous take on the Syrian refugee crisis (see more below). Doors open 7pm. Show at 7.30pm.

WWLR departure from Wells at 6pm. Special train ticket price, adult return £6.50, child return £4.50.

The story of university professor Deborah Lipstadt’s legal battle for historical truth against World War II historian David Irving, who accuses her of libel when she declares him a Holocaust denier. In the English legal system the burden of proof in a libel case is on the accused, so it’s up to Lipstadt and her legal team to prove the essential truth that the Holocaust occurred.
