A wide range of services are available. Customers can still collect benefits in cash using our everyday banking services or Post Office card account

Access and facilities

There is a step into the Mobile vehicle, but an electronic tailgate is available to facilitate easy access for wheelchair users and those with disabilities.

Sincere apologies from the Post Master for the lack of service in previous months. This was due to a combination of problems with BT and Stonehardy. He hopes all the issues have now been resolved!

Temporary Road Closure

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the C586 Bridewell Street from its junction with C586 Guild Street for a distance of 135 metres southwards in the PARISH OF WALSINGHAM  because of repairs to a property.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 16th April 2018 to 29th April 2018 for the duration of the works, expected to be 14 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: C597 Common Place, C597 Knight Street, C586 Guild Street.

(If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

Emergency Temporary Road Closure

In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to a water pipe repair the use by vehicles of the U14091 Friday Market Place from its junction with C586 High Street for a distance of 30 metres northwards in the PARISH OF WALSINGHAM will be temporarily prohibited from 28th March 2018 to 30th March 2018 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 3 days within the period. If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 21 days.

Alternative route is via: U14091 Friday Market Place, C586 High Street.

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

Alternative route is via: B1105 Wells Road/ Barsham Road/ Fakenham Road, A148 Fakenham Bypass/ Creake Road, B1355 Burnham Market Road/The Common/ Fakenham Road/ Burnham Road/ Church Street/ Creake Road, B1155 Overy

Road/ Model Farm Road/ Burnham Road/ Wells Road, A149 Min Road/ Two Furlong Hill/ Mill Road. (Burnham Market, North Creake, Burnham Overy, Sculthorpe, Burnham Thorpe, Holkham, Wighton, Wells-Next-the-Sea, Barsham, South Creake, Walsingham, Fakenham).
