The road closure at Holt Road to Common Place has been extended to allow for remedial work the flint wall to be completed. It is hoped that the road will re-open on 13 April.

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the C597 Common Place from its junction with C597 Knight Street, heading West for 150 mtrs in the PARISH OF WALSINGHAM because of repairs to the Bull Inn by the use of scaffolding in the highway.
The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 13th March 2017 to 1st April 2017 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 21 day within the period.
Alternative route is via: C597 Knight Street, C586 Wells Road/Walsingham Road, C321 Crabbe Road, B1105 Wells Road, C325 Barsham Road/Walsingham Road, C586 Fakenham Road/High Street,
On 30th May 2016 the High Street (from its jct with Common Place to its jct with Church Street) will be temporarily closed except for emergency vehicles and pedestrian access between 9 am and 6 pm.
