Shaping Norfolk’s Recycling Centres – Your Views Count

Monday, February 27th, 2012

Norfolk County Council is appealing to householders to take part in a new month-long survey about the county’s Recycling Centres.

It’s an opportunity for people to tell the council how often they use Recycling Centres, what services they use the most and what type of recycling facilities they would like to see more of. And the County Council also wants to hear from people who don’t use the Recycling Centres, so that they can understand why not.

The results will help the County Council continue to provide an efficient and value for money Recycling Centre service in the coming years.

The survey, which will run from 4 February to 5 March 2012, should take no longer than ten minutes for people to complete. To find out more and to take part please visit www.norfolk.gov.uk/wasteandrecycling or call 0344 800 8020.

Snowdrops for Teenage Cancer Trust

Monday, February 20th, 2012

We’re thrilled to be able to announce that the money raised at the Abbey Grounds Charity Snowdrop Day on Saturday, totalled more than £1600, for Teenage Cancer Trust. With entrance through the Abbey Gatehouse which was open specially for the occasion, there were some visitors who were discovering the Grounds for the first time, including a charming group of French students studying in Cambridge this year who were just passing on their way to the coast. When they stopped they did not know what village they were in! Tea and coffee, refreshments and stalls in the Parish Hall added to the total.
